Do Something!
One of the reasons we can reach so many people is that we keep our fees modest and ticket prices low. To do that, we need volunteers to share a talent, skill or knowledge. If you can help us test a new program or market those we have by helping with mailings (snail and e-), if you can build a set, sew costumes, or seat patrons at a show, if you have any talent or skill to share, contact us.
Send Money!
All gifts help; the following will give you an idea of how we'll spend it
- $15 buys the gas to get us to a few bookings in the suburbs
- $35 prints the manuals for a teacher workshop
- $60 pays the postage for a mailing to area schools
- $100 pays an actor for a typical booking of "Romeo & Juliet: Four Scenes"
- $300 covers all actors' wages and travel expenses for a performance of The Comical Tragedy of Pyramus and Thisbie at a library
- $500 rents rehearsal space for a month
More than 150 individual friends as well as the corporations, foundations and governmental agencies listed below have given us support.
- The Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Chicago
- Illinois Arts Council, a state agency
- Imaginary Landscape
- Gustafson, Ltd
- McDougal Littell, a division of Houghton Mifflin
- Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust
If you or your company would like to join those who are helping us bring Shakespeare alive for everyone, in the classroom and beyond, contact us. We appreciate both cash and in-kind donations.
